We set up the Christmas tree a couple days after Thanksgiving and we watched Home Alone while putting it up. We got new stockings this year with our names on them! Channing had just gotten out of the bath and he wanted to wear the Santa hat while he helped dad with the tree. I love that picture!
Channing got to see Santa a couple of time and he just loved him. He wasn't scared at all. I was so glad. He loved getting a candy cane after sitting on his lap.
We did The Elf on The Shelf this year. Our elf's name was Twinkle. That was so much fun. It will definitely be a family tradition for us. He hid in lots of silly places and brought Channing little gifts for being so good!
We watched the live nativity at Tuachan. I love watching it to remember the true meaning of Christmas. Its fun to dress warm too. We got to see real camels after and we could have rode one but the line was too long. After we went to Josh and Candie's house and had hot chocolate.
I painted my nails Christmasy, made yummy Oreo truffles to give out to the families that live in town with our Christmas cards, and cute Channing while we were Christmas shopping.
We went to the 4th annual Clawson Christmas party. Its always fun to have the family together especially at Christmas time. There was yummy soup bowls, Crackers and cheese, and lots and lots of treats! We played a gift exchange and visited.
Christmas Eve, Melodee and I made a delicious salmon dinner. We had our families and invited Mom and Dad Clawson, Deric and Todd. After we ate we drove around and looked at Christmas lights. Channing fell asleep in the car so it was perfect when we got home we put him in bed and I started filling stockings and getting everything else ready.
Christmas morning was awesome. We were all a pretty sick but we were excited to open our gifts. Channing got a doctor kit from Santa! He loves to play doctor and "listen to babies heartbeat" so it was perfect. He got lots of other fun gifts too. I got a Canon T3i and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! I am so excited to take awesome pictures of my family and the fun things we do. Chad got a sweet tool kit and some new shoes.
So that was our holiday season. We have been so blessed this whole year. Next year is going to be so amazing too. Cant wait for baby Tucker to get here!! Channing will grow and learn more and that is always exciting. I love my family.
