19 & 20 weeks

At 19 weeks I was feeling really good.
I really felt the baby move!
Started feeling braxton hicks contractions.
I crave turkey sandwiches!
My skin has been braking out the whole pregnancy.

 20 weeks!
I am half way through the pregnancy.
I can't believe how fast it is going.
I am starting to feel big this week.
Not really fitting in my jeans any more.
So far I have gained 8.3 pounds, I am pretty happy with that.
Chad felt the baby move this week!
I am craving things I never used to like, like tuna and onions.
We get to find out if its a boy or girl this week!!

Everything happens for a reason.

*Well it is finally time to post this because I am now pregnant again and in my 2nd trimester. I am so thankful for a healthy pregnancy so far. I wrote this manly for me to remember how I felt and what helped me stay positive but I also want people who have and are going thru it to read this talk and maybe it will help them too.

What a week. It all started on Wednesday May 23rd when I had a strong feeling to take a pregnancy test. I had taken one a week earlier because I missed my period but it said no so I was all set and ready to try again next month. Well this test was POSITIVE!! I was pregnant, about 6 weeks. I told Chad with a cute sign on the bed that said make room for baby #2 and we told a couple of his siblings, his parents, my parents and siblings. We were going to tell everyone in the family that weekend.

Thursday I felt great. I was bloated and that is about the only pregnancy symptom I had. Friday I went to a morning zumba class at 10:30 started getting side cramps. I thought it was because I ate right before. I came home and went to the bathroom and saw a little bit of blood and didn't worry about it. The rest of the day went just fine. On Saturday I went to another zumba class and this one was an hour and a half. I started to get side cramps again and thought it was the same thing eating right before class. Those cramps lasted almost the whole time. I came home and started feeling menstrual cramps. I went to the bathroom and saw a lot of blood. I called Chad and he told me to say a prayer and not worry to much about it. So I did and I looked online about miscarriages. After that I hung out with Linzie and then we went to lunch. I went to the bathroom before we left and there was a clot, about the size of a half dollar. I knew then I had lost the baby. I cried to Linzie in the car while she drove me home. Luckily my parents just got into town for the weekend and I cried to my mom and Chad for a while too. It was a very sad day. I wanted to be pregnant and have that baby SO bad!! I never ever thought that I would be one to loose a baby like that. Getting pregnant with Channing was so easy, being pregnant was easy too. But I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for everyone and that was just something I was supposed to go through to learn and be stronger. I feel like he went easy on me too because I only knew for three days and I was only six weeks along. It could have been way worse so I am thankful for that.

The other day I started feeling bad again so I prayed for some peace and answers and I felt like I should look at the June 2012 Ensign. I started looking at the table of contents and found Learning to Cope with Infertility it was perfect. Just what I needed to hear. My favorite part was something Elder Worthlin said.

“The Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. That which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be added unto them in His own way. While it may not come at the time we desire, the faithful will know that every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude.”

I just love that! It makes me feel so good. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and wants to give me more babies. It just has to be the most perfect time.

Here are some pictures of how I told Chad and His mom and how I looked on the day I found out I was pregnant. Just to remember.

2nd Pregnancy

YAY! I am pregnant again! I am so happy to be growing a sweet little baby inside me. Especially after loosing one. Luckily I got pregnant the very next month and it has been great so far. My due date is March 2nd, 2013 so I am 19 weeks pregnant. I found out on the 26th of June so we announced it at my birthday dinner.

I found out at 4 weeks so I didn't have a whole lot of pregnancy symptoms just yet

The second month I was feeling very bloated, very tired, and my boobs started getting very sore.

The third month I had the same symptoms of the 2nd month and Channing and I got very sick so we were both throwing up for about 2 days. I also got to hear the babies heart beat at 11 weeks which was so amazing. I cried! It was so great just knowing there was a living baby in there.

The fourth month I started feeling better. I got to hear the heart beat again! Started getting more energy. I was very picky about what I wanted to eat. When something sounds good I have to have it or else I wont forget about it and if something sounds gross I cant eat it.

So that is where I am right now. I am so much more emotional when I am pregnant and I tend to get my feelings hurt a lot easier. So that's not fun for me or Chad lol.

Channing turned 2!

Well my Channing boy is 2 years old now! It's so hard to believe I have a toddler. He has blessed our lives so much. Channing is one of the most talented 2 year olds I know. He can play any kind of sport, his favorites are hitting the baseball with a bat, golfing, catching and throwing a football, volleyball, soccer, tennis/racquetball and he is really really good at it. He talks really good. He can communicate with us and that makes life with a toddler so much easier. He is so sweet to babies, he always wants to hold his baby cousin Ryder and touches him so soft. He will even carry baby dolls around. If Channing wants something he will not stop asking until he gets the answer he is looking for. I think he gets that from his daddy. He definitely can throw a fit and has a very strong personality. He is loved by so many people and is a blast to be around.

Channing had a sports themed birthday party. We had all of the family there on both sides! So it was a great night. Jordi took some 2 year old pictures of him and those turned out so good!

And here are the pictures of the party.

Hawaii

I need to write about this trip right now because it was so amazing I don't want to forget a single thing. First off I feel so lucky and spoiled that we were even able to go to the beautiful islands. I hope everyone can someday experience them because they are like nothing else. We are lucky to have two sisters that live on two different islands Shelleen lives in Kauai and April lives in Maui. Shelleen was the one who actually talked us in to going (thank goodness she did!) We were talking on face time one Sunday night and she told us that there was a great deal on airplane tickets and it wouldn't last very long plus Channing was turning two so we would have had to buy him is own ticket. So we said let's just do it! We booked the flights the next day and we had only a 1 1/2 months to wait. I was so excited!! We all were.

Our flight was on August 22 @ 1:50 am. Note to self NEVER do a red eye again. That was not a fun flight at all! Channing slept most of the time but we had to hold him on our lap so it was very hard for Chad and I to get any sleep. It was a 6 hour flight and we slept probably a total of 3 hours. It was very hard to get used to the time difference, it's 4 hours earlier there. So I was tired a lot of the time but still tried to do as much as I could. So we got to Honolulu and then got on another plane to go to Kauai. Chadd and Shelleen picked us up and gave us beautiful lays and Channing an awesome sand toy bucket. We got to their house and tried to take a little nap then we were off to explore. We went to a local farmers market and got some nice and fresh Hawaiian fruit. YUM. We went to Poipo beach which is just down the street from their house. The sand was different, it was like tiny pieces of sea shells and stuck to our skin like crazy. The water wasn't cold at all not exactly warm but comfortable.

We got to go eat at Puka Dog. Let me just say that place is amazing!! Shelleen is actually the manager there. We hung out at her pool and took a walk down the street to watch the sunset and the sea turtles. It was so beautiful.

Chad was able to golf on one of the most beautiful golf courses ever. Tiger Woods has actually played there. It was one of his favorite times in Hawaii. Shelleen, Channing, and I went into the little town had lunch and did a little shopping. Then we met up and did some sight seeing. P.S. there are chickens everywhere!! Channing loved it. He would always chase them and trying to copy their sounds.

We got to go the the North Shore (Shelleen lives on the South) and we went snorkeling. Snorkeling was one of my favorite parts of the trip I loved seeing the world in the ocean. It's amazing! Pretty colors everywhere. It freaked Chad out a little just not knowing what was around him and hearing crazy stories of the ocean but he enjoyed it too.

Thanks to Shelleen and Chadd for watching Channing, Chad and I got to go on the most romantic date ever. We went to a fancy restaurant called The Beach House. We got at least 2 hours to ourselves and got to remember why we love each other so much. I love talking to Chad. We just get each other and can be exactly who we want to be with each other. This date was also a favorite for both of us.

The last day in Kauai we went out to breakfast on the golf course. For lunch we had to get our Puka Dog again! Then we went to the beach one last time. Chadd and Shelleen were awesome hosts, They made this trip all about us and anything we wanted to do we did. They were so much fun too we had some really good laughs with each other.

Now we were at Maui with April and Robert. The beach is literally across the street from their house. It was so fun! Robert took us paddle boarding. That was a blast I stayed on the whole time and got to paddle out to the reef and look for turtles. Chad had a little more difficult time just because the board wasn't his size so he kept tipping off. We sat Channing on a board to see if he would go out with Robert but he didn't really like it so he played in the sand with April.

We went on a beautiful hike to a waterfall! It was a little scary because the ground was so muddy and slippery. Its just amazing how green and alive everything is there. So refreshing. Except the mosquitoes Chad and I came out with about 20 bites each!! It was so bad!

This is the aquarium. It was cool to see the huge sharks and sea rays and for Channing to get to see fish since he couldn't snorkel. He loved it and still talks about the sharks and fishes. After the aquarium we went to the plantation and got to look at all of the plants Hawaii is known for. That was cool and educational. The tour guide told us everything about coconuts. He was great you could tell he was so passionate about Hawaii and all that it has.

It was such an amazing trip! We made so many memories and got to experience something different. We will definitely be going back someday.
